Follow your own instructions
The practice's home exercise information is intended for current, active patients who have been prescribed specific movements. Use the instructions provided for your individual care plan. A general article or someone else's routine is not a substitute.
Make the plan easy to follow
Before you leave an appointment, ask for clarification on anything that is unclear. It helps to know exactly what you are working toward.
- Which movements are part of your plan?
- How often and how much should you do?
- What changes mean you should stop and contact the office?
- When should the plan be reviewed?
Keep the conversation going
Tell your doctor what felt manageable, what was difficult, and whether symptoms changed. Call the office if you have misplaced your instructions or are unsure how to continue. Your next appointment is a chance to review the plan together.
YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Can I use these exercises if I am not a current patient?
This page provides no exercise prescription. Arrange an appropriate assessment before using an injury-specific program, and ask your own health care provider for guidance.
